Title: The death of Icsius

Finished just after my 20th birthday, this painting and a number of
other monumental canvases from this period portray the unwritten story
of Icsius, Traele and Cur-verity. The scenes I painted at the time remained
as just fragments of a story until some 8 years later when I started
to study and practice traditional story telling. At that time, in 1993,
the first half of their tale emerged. But it wasn't until 2000 that
I found the right inner space to be able to finish the story, which
is a traditional tale of a young man's search for the truth of his heart,
symbolised by the quest for the princess.
