The round Energy paintings have their origins in a circle of colour painted in a sea of deep blue in the painting "Now", made in October 1997 and exhibited in the "Blue is the colour of Love" exhibition later that year.
They give a perfect arena of expression for the flowing shapes and colours of the energy paintings, and are a complete delight to paint, often giving further inspiration for me in the form of poems.
