Who is Joshua Wiskey?

Joshua Wiskey has been a working, independent artist since 1983. During this time he has staged more than 20 solo shows and
participated in numerous group exhibitions in galleries and spaces in London, New York and Italy. Subsequently his work hangs on private and corporate walls in most continents as his reputation continues to grow.

His interest in colour, since childhood, found greater expression when
he started making his own oil paint from pure pigment and cold-pressed linseed oil in 1985, bought with the proceeds from a large commission
by Swatch Watches. Since then he has used the grinding of his own
paint as a meditative preparation toward making the actual paintings.
